Clear Project Scopes
Some properties need one important area redesigned, others need several spaces coordinated into a larger improvement plan. We begin by understanding what already exists and what is preventing the landscape from working the way it should.
We Start with What Needs to Change
A successful landscape project begins by understanding why the existing landscape is not working.
Sometimes plants have simply outgrown their location. In other properties, the planting lacks structure, beds no longer relate well to the home, privacy is limited, or water consistently collects in the wrong place.
Before recommending a solution, we consider:
- Existing plants and their condition
- Bed size, shape and layout
- Sun and shade conditions
- Soil and drainage
- Water movement and grading
- Mature plant size
- Privacy and views
- Maintenance expectations
- Architecture and surrounding hard surfaces
From there, we develop an appropriate project scope rather than applying the same solution to every property.
Residential Landscaping Focused on Meaningful Improvements
Our primary work involves improving established residential landscapes through renovation, thoughtful planting and site-specific problem solving.
Landscape Renovation & Garden Design
Our thoughtful, site-specific landscape plans account for your soil, light, drainage, and long-term goals. Our outdoor space designs make sense for your property and for Kentucky's climate. Every plant we place has a reason for being there and a plan for how it will grow.
Planting & Garden Installation
You get healthy plants in the right positions, chosen for your specific conditions. We select varieties that will establish strong roots, fill in naturally, and thrive without constant intervention.
Your garden beds are designed to establish well and improve over time with proper care and maintenance.
Hardscaping & Outdoor Features
Our stone pathways, borders, bed walls, and structural features add function and character to your outdoor space. We plan for how hardscape elements interact with the living landscape around them, so the stone, soil, and plantings all work together through Kentucky's seasons.
